Most recent update from each student, as of 6/28:

1. Hola, It's Riley. God has shown up in many ways. I lost the tag on my suitcase to claim my suitcase and it came to Managua anyway. Since I didn't have a number there was a possibility I wouldn't have clothes. I had to really trust God. then today Sean left his bag and almost lost his passport, but Mr. Billy found it. Trust is what I've had to depend on like even when Molly and I had a bunch of 'pets' (bugs) in our room. We had to trust that God wouldn't let one bite us while we were sleeping. And, that even though we were in a bad part of town, God would protect us. I have learned so much like how blessed we are in materials. We have so much and they have so little. We are unhappy and they shout for joy. I've got so much to tell about our time with the Nica's and all our experiences and what we've learned. Peace, Riley
2. Hello, fellow countrymen. So, Nicaragua is pretty awesome. The food is good and it consists of rice, chicken, tortillas and more rice. THe Nica's here are super lively during worship and some walk miles to get to church. It's been interesting visiting ministry. We also have the coolest bus driver (Pablo) The group of Nica's we're working with are really nice. They are so willing to serve and it's inspiring. The people here are so content when they have almost nothing. The Nica's give even in their poverty. Last night during worship in Masaya playing and watching kids I almost cried. The kids were really cool even thought some were...Everything is great here except the water. Please continue to pray for the team. Especially for Andrew. - Sean

3. Hola, this is Trey. First off, I have to point out how hot it is here. This is the dirtiest I have been in my whole life. But despite that, I'm still going with it. Mom, Dad, Daniel, ALex, and Laini I'll be home soon. Approximately 4 days since today is Thursday. Well, I'm sitting on my hotel bed in Masaya wondering what's next. So, I'll go now. be home soon. Love Yall. - Trey

4. Hey it;s Joey. Nicaragua is such a different place than the US. This place makes me realize just how blessed we are back home. The Nica's have nothing and are happy. We take so much for granted back home. Even simple things like clothes and beds to sleep on. We are so privileged. I can't wait to see what else God has in store for us here to see. I love you all. - Joey

5. Everyone back home. God is moving. I challenged the team the other night to pray the words to Hosanna..." break my heart for what breaks Your." That is happening. Our kids are seeing people the way God sees them. They are getting down and dirty to hug kids, love kids, and minister to kids. They are blowing my mind. We have been in a different church each day, and seeing poverty like this breaks our heart. However, even though we can't speak Spanish well, God is speaking for us through hugs. Each person here has a name and is created by God. Continue to pray for us. Safety, rest, and sickness. The enemy is fighting, but our team knows we serve a God that has power. We claim 2 Timothy 1:7.

update on June 26:

the whole group was doing well and really enjoying the trip and getting a lot of opportunities to talk with people. They rode a bus about 8 hours into the mountains on Tuesday and didn't have cell phone service for a while, but today they came back into the city and Phil called and said they've already been a part of two services, and they'd been canvasing the areas inviting people to church and doing a lot of street ministry. They had another service tonight that they were going to be a part of.
