Expectations:
Applicants will need to be in reasonably good physical condition and prepared to be flexible; Nicaragua is a challenging environment where God many times uses us in ways we hadn't previously planned.
Documentation requirements:
You will need a valid U.S. passport but a visa is not required. You should allow at least a month to apply for and receive your passport.
Immunization requirements:
The CDC is currently recommending the following immunizations: typhoid, tetanus, hepatitis A and B. The last two are a series and should be started as soon as possible. They can be obtained at the local health department.
Trip Summary:
Our trip will be focused on assisting the local church leadership in Managua and Masaya with outreach events to teens in local towns. Working alongside Nicaraguan Christian teens, our team will have opportunities for evangelism, teaching, and interacting with others of their own age.
The trip will cost $1500 which includes transportation, food, and lodging for the full week. The only things not included are personal items and souvenirs. The SCC missions team is willing to help each interested person with fund raising ideas for support.
